Sprints work well for the well-defined problems we've seen many times before. Some engagements aren't well-defined enough — or are bigger than three weeks. We take on a small number of custom engagements each quarter for clients who need work outside the sprint format.

Replatforming
Moving from a system that's outgrown its purpose onto something built for where the business is going.
Internal tools
Admin panels, ops dashboards, customer service tooling, fleet management interfaces.
Integrations
Connecting your operational systems to your finance, marketing, or fleet stack.
Cancellation and refund flows
Full self-serve cancellation, refund handling, the comms and edge cases around both.
Bespoke builds

How custom engagements work.
We don't quote custom work without understanding it. Most custom engagements start with a paid scoping engagement — usually one to two weeks — where we work with you to define the problem, design the solution, and produce a fixed-price quote for the build. The scoping fee is credited toward the build if you proceed.
Custom builds typically run six to twelve weeks. Pricing depends entirely on scope; expect $60,000 AUD and up for anything substantial.
What we don't take on.
- Pure marketing or advertising work. We're software people, not a marketing agency.
- Standalone attribution projects. Specialists do this better than we would.
- Maintenance contracts on systems we didn't build. Usually a poor fit.
- Engagements outside car subscription and adjacent automotive subscription models. One niche, on purpose.
